Glossary Terms

A Cookie is a text file that a Web site can place on a site visitor's computer such that information can be read later. Cookies are used by Web sites to help the Web site remember the visitor on subsequent visits.

Cookies are a standard Internet technology and cannot provide any information to the site owner that was not known by the Web site at the time the cookie was written.
